Study: Marijuana Users Have Smaller Waistlines Than Non-Users

Weight

According to new data in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research, cannabis use has been linked with having a smaller waistline and lower triglyceride levels.

A Canadian National Public Health Institute researcher reviewed the correlation by analyzing data from the national database, the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, NORML reported.

The researcher found that persons who consumed cannabis at least four times a week oftentimes had a slimmer waistline and lower triglyceride levels than former cannabis users and non-users.

Previous studies have found that cannabis use is linked to lower obesity, BMI, and cholesterol rates.
